After graduating from James Cook University's medical school in 2011, Dr Megan Young's foundational years were spent at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and Ipswich Hospital, where she honed her clinical skills.
Dr Young’s path to specialisation in women's health later took her to the heart of Central Queensland. It was here that she achieved her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017, recognising her commitment to primary care.
Complementing her clinical expertise, Dr. Young pursued and attained a Masters in Public Health from the University of Sydney in 2023. This advanced degree enriches her approach to patient care with a comprehensive understanding of broader health trends and public health strategies.
In her professional journey, Dr. Young has cultivated a significant background in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her work with organisations such as True (formerly Family Planning Queensland) and Family Planning NSW, along with her certification in family planning, has equipped her with a deep insight into women’s health, with a nuanced, compassionate and personalised approach to care.
